Advising Resources For Current Students
Academic Advising Meetings
SNC takes advising seriously! Advising appointments are required before each registration period to ensure you are on track to meet your academic goals. You will need to meet with an advisor to have your registration hold removed.
Just like you would prepare for class, you will want to prepare for your advisement meeting with your advisor. Here are some tools to help you make the most of your advising appointment:
- CRN Planning Grid and Time Planning Grid: these will help you lay out your class options and align them with the time sequences
- Core Curriculum Information
- Blank 4-Year Planning Grid
- Don't forget to bring your individual program plan and utilize DegreeWorks.
Planning Paradigms
The advisement paradigms are available as a resource in planning a schedule of courses. Each paradigm details a suggested sequence of courses to be taken over a four-year period to complete graduation and major requirements. Please note the college catalog is where the specific graduation requirements can be viewed. These are templates for your use but are subject to change.
