Can I room with a student who's not in the Honors Program?
Honors students typically live with an Honors roommate. To request a specific Honors roommate, both students must request and confirm each other through their individual housing applications.  

The capacity for Bergstrom Hall is 76 residents and the cap for incoming Honors Program members is 60. Exceptions to the "Honors-only" rule may be made on a limited, space-available basis.

Are Honors students required to live in Bergstrom Hall?
Yes. Bergstrom Hall is the foundation of the College's highly successful Honors Program. Graduates of the Honors Program overwhelmingly share that many of their most memorable experiences at SNC are a result of the community built in Bergstrom Hall.

What types of activities can I expect in an Honors residence hall?
Activities in Bergstrom Hall mirror many of the same activities and programming offered in other SNC first-year residence halls with a notable addition: Honors Program mentors, or Torch Leaders, typically plan and host community-building events throughout the year in Bergstrom Hall ranging from early arrival activities at the beginning of the semester to mid-year registration and advisement workshops to semester-end celebrations. These opportunities, created in collaboration with Honors Program staff members, are designed to equip first-year students with the knowledge and skills necessary to successfully navigate the college experience and develop connections within the Honors and SNC community.

I’m interested in becoming a Resident Assistant for Honors Housing, what should I do?
We are always looking for enthusiastic students to become leaders in Honors housing. In order to be a resident assistant for one of the Honors floors, you must first successfully complete the RA application process administered by Residential Education & Housing. Applications are generally available in December and due sometime in early February.  You must indicate your interest and participation in Honors to Residential Education & Housing on your application and during the RA placement process.
