Courses in the St. Norbert College Master of Theological Studies program have just been announced for the upcoming school year. The MTS program, one of three graduate programs offered by the college, provides students with extensive academic grounding in Christian theology and enables them to think critically about pastoral application.

These are the courses that will be offered for the 2024-25 academic year:
Summer 2024
- THEO 502: Historical Development of the Christian Tradition
- THEO 510: Integrative Colloquium
- THEO 560: Models of Ministry and Leadership in the Church

Fall 2024
- THEO 505: Christology
- THEO 540: Principles of Liturgy

Spring 2025
- THEO 501: Systematic Theology and the Theological Method
- THEO 589: Introduction to Spiritual Direction

Summer 2025
- THEO 506: Nature and Mission of the Church

Courses are designed to allow students to complete the MTS program in as little as 2½ years or as long as eight years. All courses are offered in the late afternoon or evening, or on weekends, to accommodate the schedules of busy professionals. Courses are taught onsite from De Pere, Wis., or Albuquerque, N. Mex. Depending on their location, students attend classes either in person or on Zoom. Master of Theological Studies program director Kathleen Gallagher Elkins said, “Our courses provide an exciting opportunity for students to consider questions of faith, meaning, justice and community alongside other engaged students and dedicated faculty. When they finish the program, our graduates use their training to do all sorts of good in the world: they teach, preach, minister and lead in ways that are inspiring.”
