Sociologists seek to understand how we relate to other people, how we organize, how we benefit from each other and why we sometimes make regrettable choices. As a sociology major at St. Norbert College, you’ll explore topics such as inequality, social class, race and social identity, immigration, privilege, gender and education. This knowledge will equip you to address human challenges with wisdom and care.

Through our sociology studies curriculum, you’ll delve into research methods, building strong analytical and communication skills. You’ll also look at how individuals relate to social structures and how social organization and human interactions affect our lives. SNC empowers you to understand and engage with people of all types.
At SNC, you can earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology studies. You might also decide to pursue secondary teaching certification through a sociology teaching major or minor.
