Tutor Compensation

Uncertified tutors currently earn $7.50 an hour. Certified tutors are paid $8.00 an hour. All training and some preparation time is paid.

How much you work as a tutor depends on your availability and the number of requests for the classes you can tutor. The more classes you are available to tutor or if you can tutor high demand classes, such as math, the greater your opportunity to work.
